ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY
The Anatomical Pathology Laboratory is led by 20 board certified pathologists and staffed by certified cytotechnologists, histotechnologists, pathology assistants and laboratory assistants. PRL pathology staff has expertise in diagnostic surgical pathology as well as subspecialties in Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Liver Pathology, Gynecopathology, Breast Pathology and Renal Pathology.

CONSULTATION SERVICES
Prepared histopathology slides from an outside source may be submitted for consultation. Review of the original pathology report and pertinent clinical information will assist in the determination of a diagnosis. PRL may request a paraffin block or unstained cut slides, to perform additional studies necessary to confirm the diagnosis.
IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY
The Immunohistochemistry Laboratory offers a wide variety of diagnostic immunohistopathology testing. Undifferentiated tumor, carcinoma, lymphoma, melanoma, and micrometastasis panels are available. Prognostic markers (estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, c_erb (her-2), and proliferation) are performed, as indicated. PRL is able to validate specific IHC routines, to satisfy your specific project objectives.
